Calm, Clarity, Connection

in life’s ups and downs

Working with Laurel

Do you ever feel invisible in your own home—surrounded by people yet weighed down by loneliness, exhaustion, or disconnection?

Maybe you find yourself dreading the next day’s demands or reaching for a drink to take the edge off. If this feels familiar, you’re not alone. I help individuals and couples slow down, reconnect with what truly matters, and find steadiness in the middle of life’s chaos. With over a decade of experience, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you clarify your values and make small, meaningful changes, even when stress or painful memories get in the way. When trauma or relationship struggles are part of the picture, I draw from exposure-based approaches and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support deeper healing and connection. My goal is for you to leave therapy not just feeling better, but equipped with tools to stay grounded, present, and connected—long after our work together ends.

Take the plunge

Individual Therapy

We will work together to help you reconnect with your core values — what truly matters to you — and find practical ways to live those values even in the midst of stress or strong emotions. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I’ll support your healing and help you build tools you can use long after therapy ends. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, present, and connected to yourself and your life.

Cost: $175 per 60-minute session

Conditions treated: anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance misuse, stress related to a life transition (new to parenthood, retirement, chronic illness, etc.)

Couples Therapy

Lately, have you and your partner been feeling more like bickering roommates than teammates? Maybe small misunderstandings turn into big arguments — or silence. Couples therapy offers a space to slow down, understand the patterns keeping you apart, and begin rebuilding emotional closeness.

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners move from disconnection to understanding, from blame to secure attachment. Together, we’ll focus on strengthening your bond, improving communication, and rediscovering the sense of warmth and safety that brought you together in the first place.

Cost: $175 per 60-minute session

PTSD Intensive

If you’re ready to stop PTSD symptoms from running your life, this focused, evidence-based treatment is for you. Over the course of 3 months, we’ll meet weekly for 30–45 minutes to confront a traumatic memory and the emotions connected to it. Together, we’ll help your mind and body learn that you are safe—even when triggered—and that you can move through your days with confidence.

Cost: $1,500 for twelve 45-minute sessions to be used within 4 months.

Research shows this approach leads to significant improvements in functioning and relief from PTSD symptoms within this timeframe.

The Fine Print

Insurance and Out-of-Network Benefits

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits (not all do), you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for our sessions. Here’s how it works: you pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment, then submit a claim to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I’m happy to guide you through the process and help you understand what forms to complete. To find out whether you have out-of-network mental health benefits, call the toll-free number for behavioral health on the back of your insurance card and ask about your coverage for outpatient therapy with an out-of-network provider.

Fees

$175/session or $1500 for 3-month PTSD intensive.

Sliding Scale

To support access and affordability, I offer a sliding scale. We will revisit this rate together every six months to ensure it still fits your needs and circumstances.
