Meet Laurel

With more than 12 years of experience as a licensed therapist, I bring a calm, compassionate presence and evidence-based approaches to the challenges you’re facing. I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you clarify your values and take small, meaningful steps aligned with your true self —even when stress, old patterns, or painful memories get in the way. When trauma or relationship wounds are part of your story, I draw from Prolonged Exposure Therapy (trained through the VA) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support deeper healing, emotional safety, and connection.

I earned my master’s degree from the UNC School of Social Work and studied psychology at Duke University. I am dually licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS). Today, I live in Greensboro, NC with my husband and three young children, where I enjoy mountain biking, cooking, camping, and doing a paint-by-numbers project while listening to audiobooks. I identify as Christian.

My goal is simple: for you to leave therapy not just feeling better, but equipped with the tools, insights, and confidence to stay grounded, present, and connected—long after our work together ends. If you’re ready for a space that’s warm and focused on your healing, I’d be honored to work with you.
